Beach in February

Today was probably the last nice day before spring, so I went for a trike ride. I figured I'd check out Loosduinen, a neighborhood in the Hague that's around an hour away as the fiets rides.
On the way, I took a bit of a wrong turn onto some islands and ended up at one of these:

I had to get off and drag the trike through, since there's no way my turning radius approaches that. Then, about a minute later, another one:

Not a huge deal, but kind of a nuisance. Anyway, I got to Loosduinen, and it looked like this:

But I was not particularly tired so I figured I'd go ride around and get lost a bit. I got to a cute neighborhood that I remembered riding through on the way back from the beach last summer, and that made me realize that the beach was nearby. So I looked up the knoppunten to get to the beach from there (21->22->23; hard to remember) and stuck my phone in the bag to charge while I zipped over to the dunes.
Some pretty extreme (for here) hills later, I got to this:

and this:

It's hard to tell from the picture, but there was an LA-esque layer of smog out by the wind turbines.

Anyway, from there I got the phone back out and plotted a route home, which I mostly followed.

On the way, I went through a park where the flowers don't know it's February either.

I also saw some very Dutch scenery.

And here are some other pretty pictures.

The GPS says these are my stats for the ride:
Max speed: 36.2 km/h
Average speed: 17.8 km/h
Total distance: 43.8 km
