Koningsdag this year fell on a Saturday. Jen and I went for a short ride, then I turned it into a long ride and she went and hung out in a pretty field.
I ran into these guys at the kandelaarbrug.
Eventually, I got to the ferry south of Schipluiden. It was pretty busy today.
These sailboats were my notional destination.
Whoops, went back towards the ferry. At least the polders are nice to ride in.
I took this from a bridge on the way into Schipluiden. Very Dutch.
In Schipluiden, a bunch of the streets were closed off for a big party. That's why I took such a weird route through it.
Anyway, went through Abtswoudse Bos on the way home. It was pretty as always.
These guys were just waiting for me on the side of the road.
I think this big crane thing is associated with the garbage collection company.
