Not Even Breda

Jen and I went to Breda for the weekend, and brought Jen's bike. I rented an OV-fiets, so we could toodle around on bikes the whole time. The path into the city from the train station took us through Valkenberg park

to the castle of Breda.

Breda has a lot of murals. The bike parking where we stuck our bikes while we walked around in the old city was not an exception.

There's also this one on the side of a poke bowl place.

Of course, the hotel Jen booked was just barely within the city limits, on the edge of a big forest. Today, the weather was gorgeous (late February is the same as spring, right?) so we went for a bike ride through said forest.

Eventually, we got to Bouvigne Castle.

This is the map from a pair of rides we did around the forest, to and from breakfast.

After that, we went back in to town for lunch. Instead of walking our bikes through the middle of the old city, this time we decided to ride around its exterior.

That took us back to the train station, and home without incident.
