Picnic Time!

(Jen's posting today) Gorgeous day with low wind, clear skies and very warm. I'm keeping my rides shorter, aiming for 10k only. That was long enough to get to Abtswoudse Bos, a park we don't know our way around yet. Fun to explore!
And my legs warmed up to ride fast after 5k, which made me have a case of the zoomies when we were actually supposed to be slowing down to find a picnic spot.
We had the first part of the picnic at a metal table which was at an intersection of bike paths. It was a great location for watching everyone bike by and the variety of cyclists out riding on such a beautiful day. Some people took the turns very fast indeed.
Then we tried a spot off the fietspad, about 100 meters in and it was nicely shaded by a long line of trees. We pulled out the picnic blanket and relaxed.
Time passed, sun moved, shade lost. Off we went.
Would like to note that my bike did not really get stuck in the sand.
