5-15 W, high of 79 (on the warm side, but nice)

Picked up Pete with Chris at 12:45. Went straight out past the airport, turned South at "5" to go around Spectacle. Kept going past Long Island, past the GC "7" under where the bridge used to be. Around R "6", we practiced heaving to and talked about man-overboard type situations. Then we turned NE and followed Long Island up to GC "3", where we headed East to Georges. Went around Georges, passing it to the South first then followed The Narrows up past Nixes Mate. Then the wind died as we turned West and we sat for half an hour or so until we found a decent breeze and beat all the way back to Boston. Took a short jaunt past BSC to see the Constitution, then headed to the mooring field and checked back in at 6:50.

chart showing our route

Chris had recently broken a wrist, so had some trouble tightening sheets, but it wasn't particularly windy so we made it work. Timing during tacks was still important while going upwind.
