Windy then Not

18-12 SW, gusts up to 30. 92 down to 86 but pretty nice in the wind.

Picked up Meg with Nate at 4:30. Headed straight out down the channel to a bit off the Northern tip of Long Island. Intended to see Nixes Mate (which we saw) but didn't sail up to it; turned around at about 5:30. Beat all the way back in, cutting through the anchorage off President Roads. The only interesting thing on the radio was a soling racer got their spinnaker wrapped around their mast and asked for help. Wind died right in front of Rowes Wharf and we sat in a hot boat for 10-20 minutes before finally getting to the mooring field. Still happy with Meg, even in higher winds. Back on the dock 7:54.
